It is a true honor to write this article and share my wisdom and take on the various smells your nostrils can explore at Viz. Starting off hot, the middle school hallways at dismissal it’s potent, strong, and you can tell they’ve been sweating all day hitting the books. Next up we’ve got the fake tan Friday scent. If that energy drink didn’t give you a headache the fake tan smell most definitely will. This has got to be one of my least favorites. On top of the smell most people look orange and splotchy. You might want to build up and prepare your nostrils for this one because homecoming dances are kicking off in just a few short weeks. I’ll be praying for your nose glands. Now let’s transition to more inspiring smells like the jersey that hasn’t been washed since the invention of the wheel. But if it’s a superstition then I guess it’s negotiable. It is also a smart and interesting strategy if you can’t outplay them, you can most definitely out smell them. Whatever brings a victory home for the Vivettes. Now finally the most motivational smell of all has got to be the smell of the Vivettes building muscle in the weight room! The smell of blood, sweat, tears and for the basketball team Coach Spark’s screams. This smell will get you riled up and ready to run through a brick wall. This is vital with the Viz Bowl rolling up in just two weeks! The smell of pumping iron at Viz is an inspiring one! That wraps up my debrief about the distinctive and array of aromas you can experience at Viz. Each smell tells a story from the middle school energy to the unique gameday superstitions. So, Vivettes as you navigate these scents through the years to come, remember they are more than just odors; they symbolize our sisterhood experiences, our victories, and most importantly the beloved memories. Whether you’re facing the pungency of a jersey or taking in the energizing aroma of the weight room, let these smells be a reminder of the integrity, grit, hard work, and passion a Viz girl carries. Embrace them, appreciate them, and most importantly let them fuel your drive to overcome every challenge you face!
