I woke up on February 18 not knowing it would me a monumental day in my life. It was an average Sunday in Dallas, Texas when I finished my final day of a 3 day volleyball tournament. Feeling on top of the world, I packed my things, left the hotel, and got lunch with some of my teammates and my dad. After this, I journeyed to the airport. I checked my bag and traveled through the security line. Once I was finished, I looked around the airport, taking in the scene. My dad and I both saw something and immediately made eye contact. Then my coach came up to us. "Is that Jackson Mahomes?", we all said in unison. After looking at Jackson's Instagram and seeing he was in the same outfit as 3 hours before, we realized it definitely was Jackson Mahomes. I knew that this was a once in a lifetime experience, and that I had to get a picture with the Tik Tok influencer and brother of a Super Bowl champion. As he left the security line, my dad called out to him, "AYO, Jackson!". In that moment, history was made with this photograph:
I am incredibly grateful that life allowed my to cross paths with the legend himself.
