Best Ways to Spend Your Snow Days

Avery McLaughlin

After a thrilling first semester, and an exciting Christmas break, I found myself exhausted and not ready to return to school yet. To my surprise, an almost week full of snow days were called which left me confined to my house. Therefore, finding a source of entertainment was much needed. So here is my list of top 5 things to do on a snow day:

  1. Sledding: While sledding may be overlooked, I personally sledded a multitude of times and enjoyed it despite the cold temperatures.

  2. Bake a treat: While sitting in my house the thought of a sweet treat came over my mind. I am not much of a baker but out of the limited things to do in my house, making chocolate chip cookies occupied my time.

  3. Watch a movie: While activities are fun, sometimes all I wanted do was to kick back and relax. Watching a movie was a fun, yet a relaxing use of my time.

  4. At home workout: Since there was no way of getting to the gym or out of the house for that matter, trying a home workout also occupied my time. It allowed me to experience a new form of exercise while still being at home

  5. Make hot chocolate: While enduring the cold temperatures and especially after sledding, a hot chocolate is a must. Making one and then topping the drink off with some nice whipped cream or any other toppings elevated the hot chocolate to make it more fun and enjoyable!
