A Haunted House Disaster

It was the spooky season, and everyone was going to see the scariness at the fright fest. My family friends invited me to go with them and I was very hesitant because I don’t like scary seasons or anything scary at all. Especially at this time I was a small little 9-year-old who was scared to sleep with the lights off let alone scary monsters and goblins. But I thought this would be a good experience for me and maybe I would get over my fear of Halloween, at least that is what I thought.

We were in the car on the way to Six flags and I was shaking with fear, I was telling everyone how I thought this was a bad idea and how maybe this was a bad idea for me to go. Everyone kept telling me it was going to be alright and nothing bad was going to happen to me. Finally, it was time we arrived, and I could hear all the screams from the people inside. We got through security and so far, I didn’t see any crazy monsters or people in costumes, I thought I was safe (I was definitely wrong). We started walking and people were jumping out at me and were chasing me all over the park. I was absolutely tariffed and was shaking and haven’t even gone through a haunted house yet. We got to the first haunted house; this was time for me to face every fear. We are waiting in line and I was shaking like I saw a ghost and my face was turning like one too. Now, it was time that I had been waiting for, we were walking in and at first it wasn’t bad, just a couple miner jump scares. Then the next thing I know is we are in a room that starts shaking and the lights are flickering and then suddenly people jump out at every direction. This was beginning to become to much for me my heart was racing so fast and I was screaming and balling out of fear and the next thing I know I passed out. My friend’s dad had to pick me up and carry me out of the emergency exit, and the next thing I remember is waking up outside with people all around me. I was so scared I ended up blacking out and passed out. I had to get checked out by the paramedics to make sure there were no medical issues, there weren’t any. I was just so scared out of my mind that my body shut down. It was the most surreal moment of my life and ever since that moment I have never stepped foot into a haunted house.
