Freckleface Strawberry Promo

By Jane Kramer '25

Hi! My name is Jane Kramer, I am in 8th grade, and I play Strawberry in Freckleface Strawberry the Musical. Freckleface Strawberry is a show about a seven-year-old girl named Strawberry who has red hair and freckles. The other kids in her class tease her about them so she tries to hide her freckles by wearing a mask to school. I decided to ask some of my friends and castmates questions about their favorites from the show. Make sure to buy tickets for the show to support the girls on stage and crew! https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/45868

#1. What is your favorite song in the show?

Abby Winter (8th grade) who plays the mother, says her favorite song is the opening number, where you get to see the characters for the first time!

Reese Brinker (7th grade) plays Emily. She loves the song that her character sings called I Like Danny about her secret: she likes Danny!

Rowan O’Keefe (8th grade) plays the teacher and loves the song I Can Be Anything. In this song, characters act out all the possibilities that you can pretend to be.

Heidi Thomasson (6th grade) is on live stream crew. Her favorite song is Kid In The Mask. In this song, Strawberry’s friends wonder who the kid in the mask could be.

Hannah Houseworth (8th grade) who plays the teacher says that her favorite solo song is Once Upon A Time. This song is sung to Strawberry by her mother to cheer her up.

#2. What is your favorite dance number in the show?

Lizzy Forget (7th grade) plays Gabby. She says that the opening number is her favorite dance number because she loves swinging on the swing set made for the show. There is also other equipment like a rock-climbing wall, monkey bars, and a slide! Something special about these swings are that they will be added to the Montessori playground after the show.

Lydia Wiley (8th grade) plays Ballet Girl, she says that her favorite dance number is Basketball because she loves the fun basketball related dance moves choreographed by Mrs. Isom.

Addie Kramer (6th grade) plays Strawberry’s sister. Her favorite dance is Freckle Mafia because she gets to come on stage in a really cool way (no spoilers).

#3. What are your favorite lines in the show?

CJ Smith (8th grade) plays Jackie and Don Fontaine, a freckle gangster. She says her favorite lines are in the Freckle Mafia scene where she gets to try out a Brooklyn accent and even talk to the audience!

My favorite lines are at the beginning of the show, where I get to tell everyone watching all about Strawberry! More specifically, “oh yeah I forgot, I just lost another tooth!”

Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00pm and Saturday at 2:00pm. If you want to learn more about the show: watch it!
