mlsmiles

I interviewed Maggie Reed, a student in the junior class, about her business, mlsmile, which is a handmade clothing store. What is the name of your small business mlsmile What type of products do you sell? sweatpants and hoodies What made you start the business/ how did you come up with the idea? in quarantine I decided it would be a fun hobby to keep me occupied and earn money, I started this with my cousin. What is the most crucial part? It can be very stressful with school and sports, a lot of money goes into it. What is your favorite thing to make? Definitely sweatpants. What are the most stressful party of your business? Staying on top of it as well as spending money. Who helps you run your business or is it just you? I started it up with my cousin and it was both of ours until she went to college, I am now by myself but sometimes my mom helps me if I need an extra hand or is she sees that I’m stressed. What do you hope to accomplish with your business/ products you hope to add? I hope to grow my business through social media and gain more followers. I also hope to add cute tanks and shorts and possibly beanies. What is your advice to people who want to start their own business? Starting a business myself has helped me learn about organization, time management, and profits. This was a great hobby to start up and I’m so glad I was able to start this with the help from my parents and cousin. It helps me show off my creativity in a positive and fun way. If you are deciding whether or not to start one you should 100% follow through with that idea. It is a fun and entertaining hobby with good money.
